Recruitment and Retention Strategy
This was a major issue for Cheshire County Council and it was rapidly becoming business critical. There was no spare HR capacity internally and Jan Burns the County Personnel Officer asked People & Performance to research and develop a recruitment and retention strategy for the Council. The consultant developed a rapport with the team, challenged their current approach to recruitment and retention and demonstrated different approaches, which had been successful elsewhere.

It was great to work with an external consultant who had direct experience of local government. The report produced was comprehensive and well written, with practical recommendations for the Council; many of which we are already taking forward.
